mike“Life to the full!” That is the heartbeat of this Christian artist, meteorologist, husband and father of three.  With a passion for sharing the life changing power of the story of Grace through Jesus through music and speaking events, Mike has been sharing this story as an artist and worship leader in the WELS for the past 10 years.  With nearly 20 years in broadcast meteorology and with a background rich with teaching and coaching opportunities, Mike takes those engaging qualities and applies them to his concert and speaking settings.  Mike has been married to his wife Melissa for nearly 18 years and together have three children.

His full time work is with the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he serves as the Director of Operations for the meteorologist intern program “Innovative Weather”.  He has served for over 7 years as music director and outreach coordinator for The Point of Grace Campus Ministry in Milwaukee and serves on the ministry team of St. Paul’s Lutheran in Muskego WI where he leads worship twice/month.

Mike’s love of music started at a young age growing up with an eclectic mix of music including Simon and Garfunkel, Handel’s Messiah and Alice in Chains As a result his own musical style holds a lot of variety with a passion for the story.  Over the past 10 years he has released 7 CD projects and will officially release his upcoming project “Songs We Carry” in 2015 produced with Creative Soul Records with some of the best session players from Nashville, TN playing on this album.

Mike started as a solo acoustic artist and continues to share this simpler storyteller type acoustic concerts with audiences today.  Increasingly Mike has been surrounded by some excellent musicians allowing him to bring a trio or full band to many of his concerts and worship settings.  As a solo artist Mike brings the heart of the songs and the inspiration behind them, while the full band allows for more musical variety and a wider range of songs to help tell the story of what Jesus called “Life to the full”.  Whether on a big stage or a coffee house, in a bible study or leading worship, the live music setting is where Mike is at his best.
